AI: The Next Contestant on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

According to the WSJ, AI isn’t really thinking… it’s just getting really good at guessing: fast and impressive but guesses all the same.

Basically, AI is like the adult on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader quiz show, sounds confident at first… until a real 5th grader shows them up.

As we build products with AI, we need to stay clear-eyed about what we’re actually working with.

No matter how good the answers sound, at the end of the day, they’re still just guesses; patterned, polished, and predictive, but guesses all the same.

The real risk isn’t that AI gets it wrong.

It’s building solutions that assume it can’t.
